If you are applying for hosting, these tips may help you to get the domain that you wanted as quickly as possible.

If you submit one application, and it is not accepted, please do not submit the same application repeatedly.  There are people who are resubmitting the same application over and over again, sometimes more than 5 or 10 times.  This is unnecessary because we review every application that comes in.  If the email wasn’t returned to you, we probably received it.  If you don’t hear from us you can resubmit it once after a while but don’t submit it repeatedly with the same design, sometimes we have told you that you need to make changes, yet there are people who are still submitting the same application even after we have answered the application.  It is not necessary to submit the same application so many times, and it doesn’t help with the application.  If an application is not accepted, please make sure you make changes to the application.  A change should be significant and not just adding one line of text to a design.

The other thing is, please include a full high quality layout preview of the site that you are applying for.  This mean that if you are applying for hosting for a victoria justice site, your preview shouldn’t be of the jonas brothers.  Also, please email us the full form from www.fanfusion.org/apply.  There are times when we make exceptions, but unless you have an established fansite already hosted with us for a while, you will need to do this, or we cannot accept the application.

We may receive over 50 applications in a day.  We went through the last 50 applications we received, and made a list of the statistics, as below, which may help you understand the process.

• No application at all and no explanation: 0 accepted, 5 not accepted
• This mean people just email us saying something like “I want to make a fansite on britney spears!”  Or emails without proper applications and where it’s clear they didn’t read the rules.
• No application but serious inquiry or request: 2 accepted, 1 not accepted.
• Sometimes people don’t send the application form formally but include enough information for us to host the site.  We’re fine with this as long as you provide enough information to be hosted.
• Preview of another site or not full layout.  2 domain accepted, 3 subdomains, 15 not accepted
• Some people are only including a small blend, this is not sufficient for a domain request.  We really need you to include a full layout preview of the site that you are applying for.  Also some people who don’t have established fansites with us, are request a domain on justin bieber, but the preview shows something entirely different.  If you are ordering a layout, that is fine but you need to send the confirmation of the order and we will hold your domain (see the note below).  But if you are making your own layout, please don’t use a preview of demi lovato if you’re applying to host an ashley tisdale fansite.  Also some people are stealing previews, and using examples of sites and layout that don’t belong to them.
• Preview of the site included.  3 domains accepted, 2 subdomains accepted,  12 not accepted

We really need you to include a full layout preview of the site that you are applying for.  We understand that you may want to order the layout, but you must send us the receipt of your order.  Unfortunately, most applications which say that they will order a design never do.  So if you are serious about this, you just email us to hold your domain for 48 hours, then send us a confirmation of your design order.

When you don’t include a layout of the actual site that you are applying for, you must have an established fansite that is hosted with us already, and still demonstrate that you are serious about the site.

If you don’t show that you are serious about the hosting by creating a hq layout preview first, sending us the order receipt confirmation, etc. then we won’t be able to accept your application.  We don’t want to host sites that aren’t serious about the hosting and cannot take the time to even create a serious layout preview, so if you are serious about the hosting, we do ask that you do this.  And if you do, your chances of getting hosting will be much higher.  If you don’t, the best case is that you will be a borderline case and we already have enough hq application for domain requests so we cannot accept those who do not do what is required.
